What area does your research focus on?

My research focuses on threshold concepts, liminality, affective dimensions of learning, policy and pedagogy in Higher Education.

What are the other key aspects of your role?

I am the Departmental Director of EDI.

What do you like to do outside of work?

I love to cook, bake, knit, walk the dog, and spend time with the family.

What do you think you could particularly offer mentoring support with?

I have significant supervisory experiences with over 40 students supervised to completion. I have worked with a wide range of students from different backgrounds as both full and part-time students. I am motivating and I believe that supervision and mentoring is about supporting the whole person and about helping people get started on a career path.
