What area does your research focus on?

My research seeks to contribute to the growing body of feminist entrepreneurship research by developing a more inclusive representation of the entrepreneur. I focus primarily on the experiences of women entrepreneurs in the global south. Coming from an interdisciplinary background, my research interests include Entrepreneurship, gender, intersectionality, consumer behaviour, and technology acceptance.

What are the other key aspects of your role?

I am a senior lecturer in postgraduate business at the University of Sunderland in London. And the programme manager for project management. In this role, I lead modules relating to Human Resource Management, Marketing, Management Information Systems and Project Management. I undertake dissertation supervision in the MBA, MSc International Business Management and MSc Project Management programs.

What do you like to do outside of work?

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with friends and family. I particularly like travelling, gaming, and baking.

What do you think you could particularly offer mentoring support with?

In a sector where women are often underrepresented, I would like to offer support to early career researchers and research students drawing on my own experience as an ethnic minority woman in higher education.
