What area does your research focus on?
My research is on experiences of diseases and illness, especially non-communicable diseases including diabetes, hypertension, and depression. I mainly use ethnographic research to explore how people live with and manage these conditions.
What are the other key aspects of your role?
I am a Co-Lead of the Doctor of Public Health course and module leader for International Public Health. I teach on our Master of Public Health and Master of Public Health (Applied) course. I supervise master’s and doctoral students.
What do you like to do outside of work?
Outside work, I enjoy watching football. I also like reading. I like listening to music, especially hip hop.
