What area does your research focus on?

Enzymes biotechnology, enzyme and protein engineering and application, biocatalysts.

What are the other key aspects of your role?

Teaching and module-related tasks including three module leaderships, student training and supervision, admin duties.

What do you like to do outside of work?

Reading, poems, news, history, sightseeing, and football.

What do you think you could particularly offer mentoring support with?

I did my PhD and postdoc in Japan and moved to the UK (NI and England) a couple of years ago. I met and worked with a very diverse group of students and staff from five continents and many countries.

Besides, I lived in different cultures and societies, and this makes me an eligible person to provide feedback on these issues. Besides, I can provide other general advice on being goal-oriented, hardworking, with highly disciplined. Of course, guidance in my areas of expertise also is possible.
