Assistant Professor in Comparative Politics in the School of Government and International Affairs

What area does your research focus on?

My research is focuses on political representation, elections (why/how people vote), parliaments (what members of parliament do and why). Methodologically, I am a quantitative researcher.

What are the other key aspects of your role?

I convene a postgraduate-level module, supervise dissertations, advise undergraduate students, and act as the school’s foundation year representative for prospective international students. I am also a member of a research centre in the school (Centre for Institutions and Political Behaviour); I attend the meetings and other activities of this centre.

What do you like to do outside of work?

Outside of work I enjoy spending time with my young family. I also like going for walks, watching football and any other sport that uses a ball, and cooking.
