What area does your research focus on?

Public health, health inequalities, marginalised groups, intersectionality.

What are the other key aspects of your role?

I am deputy degree programme director for the suite of Public Health postgraduate taught programmes at Newcastle University and lead an MSc/MPH module on Public Policy, Health & Health Inequalities

What do you like to do outside of work?

I like to read, watch TV/films and spend time with my husband and two small children.

What do you think you could particularly offer mentoring support with?

I can help by listening, supporting and acting as an ally to students from ethnically minoritised backgrounds. I can also provide guidance on pursuing an academic career, networking and achieving research impact.
