What area does your research focus on?

My research mainly focused on Biofabrication, Microbial Cell and Materials Interactions, Antimicrobial Surface and Functional Living and Sustainable Biopolymers. 

What are the other key aspects of your role?

I am a module leader for two chemistry modules, as well as provide master’s and PhD supervision. I am a committee member of the EPSRC Funder liaison group, REC consultative group, Diversifying Leadership group, and EDI group at Northumbria University.  

What do you like to do outside of work?

Reading and Sports. 

What do you think you could particularly offer mentoring support with?

Mentoring support with a plan of your professional development, discussion of issues and personal narratives relating to living experiences of study within HE. I can also provide structured support on career advice and guidance.
